Description: Stonegate Primary School. Robert Shreeve Associates Ltd were commissioned by Stonegate C of E Primary School (East Sussex County Council) to design a multi-purpose hall together with ancillary areas, including entrance lobby, kitchen, cloakroom facilities & a storage area for gym equipment and staging. The hall was to provide a large area to be utilised as a) a gym and indoor sports hall, b) a dining hall and c) an area for school assemblies, parents' evenings and classroom.
The design of the building reflects the local vernacular and is in the form of a Sussex Barn to blend in with immediate surroundings.
